Mark’s journey is one of transformation—rooted in discipline, guided by nature, and inspired by connection. Yoga first found him in 2009, when his 16 years of martial arts training had him seeking something more—something that could challenge his mind and body with less physical strain. What began as a complement to his martial arts journey quickly grew into a profound passion and a lifelong path.
In 2021, Mark completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, specializing in somatic-targeted and trauma-informed yoga. His teaching draws from two decades of experience as an educator; from mentoring children in martial arts to inspiring people of all ages about wildlife and the environment. His ability to connect deeply with others, whether through movement or nature, is at the heart of his teaching.
In Mark’s classes, he weaves diverse poses with a special focus on balance work, guiding students to embrace both the challenges and rewards of the practice. He invites his students to step onto their mats with the curiosity to reconnect—with their bodies, their minds, and the natural world. Each session is a journey into harmony, reminding us that yoga isn’t just a practice; it’s a way to live in balance with ourselves and the world around us.
